As many of you know, on of Mr. Trump's most acclaimed promises was to create a wall t along the border that would prevent illegal immigrants from entering the United States. Many people thought that it was an absurd idea, and indeed, it is. Mr. Trumps idea of creating the wall hasn't changed, and he already commenced building the wall. This project will cost roughly about 20 billion US dollars according to The White House press secretary, Sean Spicer. If Mr. Trump soon announces his support for the tax plan, it could have a massive impact on the American economy, and its consumers and workers, by increasing the prices of imported goods or reducing profits for the companies that produce them. Other nations could be affected to, prompting a trade war that could hit consumers around the globe. This would mainly happen since Mr. Trump decided to raise 20 percent tax on all imported goods. These events occurred after Mr. Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday to strengthen the nation’s deportation force and start construction on a new wall along the border. Mexico's President, Mr. Pena Nieto perceived this as a major insult because of the timing and the paying issue. It was just a few days before Mr. Trump and Mr. Pena were about to meet. There has been a really strong conflict between both presidents creating a lot of tension between the countries.
"I regret and condemn the United States’ decision to continue with the construction of a wall that, for years now, far from uniting us, divides us,” Mr. Pena Nieto said. Mr. Trump responded on Twitter, “If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the badly needed wall, then it would be better to cancel the upcoming meeting.” After a few hours, that is just what happened. The meeting got cancelled. Mr trump also mentioned “Unless Mexico is going to treat the United States fairly, with respect, such a meeting would be fruitless, and I want to go a different route,” “We have no choice.” It is infuriating how someone can be so absurdly thoughtless. Mr. Trump should be thinking about new ways to unite the countries and not separate them. First week and Donald Trump is already screwing it up. This morning President of the United States, Donald Trump, formally abandoned the Trans- Pacific partnership. He separated fro Asia and scrapped Obama's most important trade deal. According to Trump it is a bad deal for the American workers. This significant action shows Mr. Trump's plans to follow through on promises to take a more aggressive stance against foreign competitors. Mr. Trump mentioned “We’ve been talking about this for a long time,” as he signed a document formalizing his decision. The withdrawal from the trade pact, he added, is a “great thing for the American worker.” Mr. Trump also ordered a hiring freeze in the federal work force, exempting the military. he also reinstituted limits on nongovernmental organizations that operate overseas and receive American taxpayer money from performing abortions. The president’s cancelation from the Asian-Pacific trade pact led to a drastic change of decades of economic policy in which presidents of both parties have lowered trade barriers and expanded unity around the world. The agreement brought together the United States and 11 other nations including Canada, Mexico, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia and Australia, creating a free-trade zone for about 40 percent of the world’s economy. In discarding the Trans-Pacific Partnership Mr. Trump separated from his Republican allies in Congress who have long supported such trade agreements. Trump promised an “America First” to the world. “We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries making our products, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs,” he said. “Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength.” The Obama administration negotiated the Pacific trade pact over eight years. The deal could not be amended once completed, nor could it be joined without congressional approval. Mr. Obama never submitted the partnership for approval, understanding that a defeat in Congress would be worse than leaving the deal. It is an arduous shame that Mr. Trump scrapped such an important trade deal for the United States. Lets hope that he doesn't keep committing this foolish mistakes.
